Subject and assignment area: Basic. The assignment releases a grade and a written feedback.

Hand in two descriptions of fiber materials (1-2 pages each).
The descriptions must contain a physical sample of the fiber material.
The descriptions should contain:
A description of the properties of the selected samples.
A short description of the production processes for the selected samples.
Care instructions for the selected fiber.
Hand in two descriptions of woven fabrics (1-2 pages each).
The fiber content must not be the same as the two fiber descriptions above and the descriptions must contain a physical sample of the fabric.
The two fabric descriptions should contain:
A description of the properties of the selected samples.
A short description of the production processes for the selected samples.
A description of the sample construction and structure.
A description of the applications and use of the selected samples
Care instructions for the selected samples.

The assignment will be assessed based on the 7-point grading scale. The grade will reflect students' ability to describe a material exact and precise and the ability to:
Describe the properties of selected textile samples.
Describe the production processes for selected textile samples.
Describe the construction and structure of selected textile samples.
Describe the use of selected textile samples.
Make Care instructions for selected textile samples.
Independent observations will normally be graded high, but of course the observations have to be correctly.
