Scooby-Doo and Shaggy are always having ghostly encounters in their popular cartoon. Here it looks as though they are just about to have another spine chilling experience!

ICotour 315g (10oz) of the sugarpaste (roiled fondant) dark grey using black food colounrtg pasie wilh a touch of blue. Rcll this cut and cover ihe cake board compleiely. trimming excess from around ihe edge Genily press the rolling pin oset the surface to creale ripples. smooth the edge and put n aside lo dry.

2Tnm the crust from the cake and siice the top fiat. Cut the cake into four equai squares and put one on top of the other. makwg surÄ™ that each one is level. To shape the roof. tnm a wedge from the front and back of the cake. cutling down and outwards to take off the top edge from the second layer.

3Trim around the base of the cake so that the sides stopÄ™ at an inwards angle. Sandw.ch the layers togothcr with buttercream. then spread a thm layer ovcr the surface of the cake

4Colour 1 25kg (2V.lb) of the sugarpaste a shghtiy paler shade of grey. Roli out I25g (4oz) and place the back of the cake down onto It. Cut around. Ieaving the roof uncovered. The sugarpaste vrfl stick to the surface when the cake is replaced onto its base.

5Cover the sides of the cake in the same way. using I70g (5'Aoz) of the grey pastÄ™ for each s»de. Sugar glue the join closed and then rub gently with your fingers to remove the jom linÄ™. Position the cake on the cake board

Trim the cake around the basa so the sides slope inwards.
