CAKE BOARD ANO CAKE

IColour 440g (14oz> of the sugarpaste (roiled fondani) green. Roli it out and cover the cake board completely. tnmmmg excess from around Ute edge. and then put it aside to dry. (Reserve Ihe green tnmmings for latcr.) Trirn the crust from the cake and slice the top fiat where the cake has risen. Cut the cake into four egually sized squares 3nd stack one on top of the other. making surÄ™ that the layers are wen balanced.

MAKING TAZ

2 To shape Taz's head. trim aii the way around the cake^-s top layer to round it oft To narrow around the sides ano back of Taz. cut at an inwards angle around the base Sandwich the layers together with buttercream. then spread a layer over the surface of the cake to help the sugarpaste stick,

3Cotour 1 25kg (2v.-ib) of the sugarpaste brown Roli out 500g (flb) of it and cut an obiong measuring 23 x 46cm (9 x I8in), Dust the surface with icing (confectioners) sugar to prevent sticking and roli iÅ‚ up at e>thei end. Position the sugarpaste against the front of the cake and unroli it around the cake. tnmming any excess away from the jem. Using sugar glue. stick the jo<n closed around the top of his head and down his back Then cover your hands in icing sugar and rub gentfy over the jon to remove It. To create a fur effect. texture ttie surface using the fiat of a knife.
