Move aside the mat.

Unscrew the door stop and withdraw its
arm through the hole in the floor panel.

Refit the parts in reverse order.

Open the door halfway (about 40 degrees).

Remove the clip 1 and cylindrical bolt 2.

Press in the door stop arm.

Remove the grommet 3.

Remove the extra mat.

Remove the scuff plate.

On the driver's side: Remove the cover
from under the steering wheel and the
cover from over the steering column.

On the driver's side: Move aside the cover
with the exhaust brake switch.

Detach the cover frame 3, start at the top
and pulling it carefully up and out.

Note: Watch the hooks in the lower edge
of the frame.

Remove the screw from the bottom edge of
the switch panel 5 for the window winder.
Unplug the connector.

Remove the door pocket 7.

Remove the cover 6, armrest 4 and
handle 9.

Remove fuse number 15 for the cab light-
ing and central locking from the fuse box.

Detach the boarding light 8 and pass it
through the hole in the door panel.

Remove scraper strip 2.

Remove the door panel 10, up and out.

Make a hook to hang the window on or use
a tie-wrap.

Wind up the window nearly all the way.
Place the small hook under the window
inside the panel. Hang the large hook over
the upper edge of the door. Lower the win-
dow until it is suspended by the hook or
tie-wrap.

Unplug the connector to the window
winder motor.

Detach the arm from the window winding
mechanism through the hole behind the
cover 11.

Remove the door catch link 13.

Remove panel 12 from the door.

Remove the screw securing the guide rail 1
to the outer edge of the door.

Door lock

1

Remove the door handle by undoing the
two screws on the inside of the door.

Carefully remove the link 4 from the door
handle. Turn the door handle 90˚ and care-
fully detach the pullrod 3.

Remove the screws for the lock in the end
of the door.

Hold the guide rail to one side and with-
draw the lock and central locking motor
along the edge of the door.

Note: Take care not to break the guide rail
at the upper outer corner.

Unscrew the central locking motor from
the lock.
Change the lock.

If the changing the central locking motor,
unplug the cables running along the lower
edge of the door. Also remove the clips.

Attach the central locking motor to the lock.

Hold the guide rail to the side and coax
back the lock and central locking motor.

Note: Take care not to break the upper
outer corner of the guide rail.

If necessary, connect the cables to the
central locking motor and fit the clips.

Screw the lock the end of the door.

Fit the link and pull rod to the door handle.

Screw on the door handle.

Do up the screws in the lower outer edge of
the door which secure the guide rail 1.

Fit panel 12. Align the arm for the window
winder mechanism and fit cover 11.

Remove the hook or tie-wrap.

Fit the door catch link 13.

5

Connect the cables to the window winder
motor.

Temporarily connect the switch panel 5
and check that the window slides freely in
the guide rail.

Insert the boarding lamp 8 through the hole
in the door panel.

Fit the door panel 10.

Screw on the boarding lamp.

Fit handle 9, armrest 4 and cover 6.

Fit the scraper strip 2.

Fit the door pocket 7.

13

Connect switch panel 5 to the window
winder and screw it down.

14

Fit cover frame 3 around the door window.
Start with the hooks at the lower edge of
the frame and take care.

15

Fit fuse number 15 for the cab lighting and
central locking in the fuse box.
