Candied Pecans & Almonds
1 cup nuts, chopped
1⁄8 teaspoon salt
1⁄4 teaspoon cinnamon
3 tablespoons maple syrup
If you soak the nuts, they should ideally be dehydrated bef ore mixing with the other ingredients. If you use
wet nuts f or this recipe, the sugar will stop the water f rom evaporating, and so the nut will not be as
crunchy.
1. Mix all ingredients in a bowl, so that all the nuts are well-coated.
2. Arrange on a non-stick dehydrator sheet and dehydrate f or 12 hours+ on 115°F, or until they
are completely dry.
3. Store in a container in the f ridge so the sugar crystallises and they become really crunchy.
