Make surę there are no fluid leaks.
Check the front brake fluid reservoir level.
If the level nears the lower level mark, remove the cover and
diaphragm. Fili the reservoir with DOT 3 or 4 brake fluid only.
Check the entire system for leaks, if the level is Iow.
• Be careful not to let dust or water into the system when filling the reservoir.
• A void spilling brake fluid on painted surfaces or instruenmt lenses, as severe damage can result.
• Do not rernove the cover umil the handle bar has been turned so that the reservoir is level.
• Do not rnix different types of fluid, as (hey are not compatible with each other.
Refer to section 1 5 for brake bleeding procedures.
Replace the brake shoes if the arrow on the brake indicator piąte aligns with the reference mark "A” on fuli application of the rear brake pedał.
Inspect the pads visually from the direction indicated by the arrow mark during all regular service intervals to determine pad wear.
If either pad wears to the wear lines, both pads must be re-placed.
• Always replace the brake pads in pairs to assure even disc pres-sure.
Check the brake hose and fittings for deterioration or cracks.
To adjust:
Loosen the lock nut and adjust the pedał height by turning the stopper bolt. Tighten the lock nut.
Adjust the brake pedał free play (page 3-14).
