LIGHTS/INSTRUMENTS/SWITCHES
Remove the fuel tank (page 4-3).
Disconnect the sensor wire from the thermosensor and short it to ground using a jumper wire.
Turn the ignition switch ON.
Temperaturę gauge should move all the way to "H" mark on upper side.
CAUTION
• Do not ieave the thermosensor wire grounded for longer than a few seconds, or the temperaturę gauge will be damaged.
If the gauge does not movef check the sub fuse (15 A) and wires for a loose connection or an open Circuit; if normal, re-place the gauge with a new one (page 19-5).
If the tachometer does not work properly, remove the front cowling (page 12-2) and turn the ignition switch ON. Check the voltage between the black (+) and green (-) wire connec-tors.
There should be battery voltage.
If the voltage does not come on. check the sub fuse (1 5 A) and wire for a loose connection or an open Circuit.
If there is good condition, check the black/yellow wire for open Circuit between the tachometer and rear CDI unit.
If the problem still appears, replace the tachometer with a new one (page 19-5).
INSPECTION
Remove the drive sprocket cover, and temporarily install the gearshift pedał.
Check the neutral switch for continuity between the switch teminal and body ground as shown.
There should be continuity when the transmission in neutral and should be no continuity with the transmission in any gear.
