Woman’s Pullover


For Size 36 (Small)

= left numbers

For Size 38/40 (Medium) = middle numbers
For Size 42 (Large)

= right numbers

If there is only one number, it applies to all sizes.

Materials - Merino 125 from Austermann
100% Merino Wool extrafine superwash, each ball = approx 125 m/50 g
650 (700/750) g in Color #101 wollweiß (off white)

Knitting needles, one pair each sizes 3,5 and 4 mm (US 4 and 6) from Schoeller + Stahl

Rib Pat:
K2, P2 rib with 3,5 mm (US 4) needles

Take time to check gauge! (Change needle size if necessary)
Basic Pat:
(Gauge: 28 sts and 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm/4 x 4”)
Work in Rib and Cable Pat foll Charts A - C with 4 mm (US 6) needles.
For Chart A , rep rows 1 - 44. For Chart B rep rows 1 - 8.
Only the RS rows are shown. Work the WS rows as K the knit sts and P the purl sts.
For Chart C rep rnds 1 - 8. Only the odd-numbered rnds are shown. Work the even-numbered
rnds as K the knit sts and P the purl sts.

Full-Fashioned Single (Double) Decreases:
at RH side: 1 selvage st, K1, SKP - sl 1 knitwise, K1, psso (SK2P – sl 1 knitwise, K2tog, psso)
at LH side: K2tog (K3tog), K1, 1 selvage st

Instructions:
Back:

With 3,5 mm (US 4) needles, cast on 122 (130/138) sts and work in Rib pat for 10 cm/4”. Change to 4 mm (US 6) needles and work
in Basic pat, inc 5 (7/9) sts evenly on 1

st

row and work sts as foll: 1 selvage st, K 24 (29/34), work 25 sts Chart B, 27 sts Chart A, 25

sts Chart B, K 24 (29/34), 1 selvage st = 127 (137/147) sts.
For the Raglan armhole shaping, when piece measures 45 (43/41) cm/17 ¾ (17/16)” from beg, work Full-Fashioned Single Dec
each side every 2

row 22 (26/29) times, Double Dec once, Single Dec 2 times, Double Dec once, Single Dec 5 (4/2) times and

Double Dec 1 (2/4) times. When piece measures 67 cm/26 ½” from beg, bind off rem 57 sts.
Front:
Work same as Back, and for the Neck shaping, when piece measures 61 cm/24” from
beg, bind off center 25 sts, and working both sides at once, bind off from each neck
edge 3 sts once, work Full-Fashioned Double Dec every 2

row 5 times and Single

Dec 3 times. Total length is 67 cm/26 ½”.
Sleeves:
With 3,5 mm (US 4) needles, cast on 74 sts and work in Rib Pat for 10 cm/4”. Change to
4 mm (US 6) needles and work in Basic Pat as foll: 1 selvage st, K5, work 31 sts Chart
C. This is the center of the Sleeve. Work the 2

nd

half of sleeve in reverse. For the side

shaping, inc 1 st each side every 12th (8th/6th) row 6 (11/16) times = 86 (96/106) sts.
Work even until piece measures 43 (41/39) cm/17 (16/15 ½)” from beg. Work Raglan
shaping same as Back. When piece measures 65 cm/25 ½” from beg, bind off rem 16
sts.
Finishing:
Block pieces to measurements. Sew raglan sleeve caps into raglan armholes. Sew side
and sleeve seams. For the Collar, with RS facing pick up 124 sts evenly around neck
edge. Join and work in rnds in Chart C, so that the beg of the rnd is at the center back
neck. After 10 cm/4”, bind off sts loosely.
