Model 85 Murano
Woman’s Jacket

For Size 36 – 42 (Small – Large)
Materials – Murano from Austermann
51% Wool, 49% Acrylic, each ball = approx 240 m/ 150 g
450 g in Color 36 stein (stone)
Knitting needles 7 mm (US 10 ½) from Schoeller + Stahl
Other Materials: 1 large button from Dill Art.-Nr. 410156/60,
1 pin with spiral and four holes from Prym Art.-Nr. 081405
Take time to check gauge! (Change needle size if necessary)
Rib Pat:
K1, P1 rib with 7 mm (US 10 ½) needles
Cable Pat:
over 12 sts foll Chart
Rep rows 1 – 8.
Basic Pat: (Gauge: on average 13 sts and 18 rows = 10 x 10 cm/4 x 4”)
St st and Reverse St st with 7 mm (US 10 ½) needles
Double St:
With yarn at front of work, sl next st knitwise, bring yarn to back, pulling tightly. The yarn lays over the needle. The strand must
be pulled tightly to eliminate a hole. When working again over the Double St, work the extra strand tog with the corresponding st
on needle.
Instructions:
Cast on 70 sts and work in Rib Pat for 2 rows. Cont to work in "Long Rows", that is, on the 1
st
WS row, at beg of row, work 5 sts,
turn, work 1 double st, work to end. Turn.
In every 2nd (WS) row, work 5 more sts, until all sts are worked, and work sts in Chart Pat as foll: beg with sts before the rep,
work rep 2 times, end with sts after the rep.
After 182 cm/71 ½” (= 326 rows) above Rib Pat, work in "Short Rows", that is at end of row, work 5 sts less, with double st turn,
cont in this way until all sts are used. End with 2 rows in Rib Pat, and on the 1st row drop the sts marked (F) on chart, then bind
off.
Finishing:
Block pieces to measurements. Sew cast-on and bound-off edge foll schematic (match * to * and ° to °
)
. For the center back
(HM) along the short side sew seam over 18 cm/7”. The openings on each side are the armholes. Attach the pin to the WS of
the button and attach to front (see photo).
