Salt dough
170g (6oz) plain flour 75g (3oz) tabie salt 75ml (3fl oz or'/ cup) water You will need:
Cocktail stick 64mm (2/in) round cutter 20mm (%in) round cutter Green, yellow, red, white and black paints
I Roli some dough into a golf-size bali and gently press it down on a work surfaco to flatten the bottorn.
Pinch out one side of the bali into a taił shape with your tinger and thumb.
Make the foet from two smali flattoned balls. Join the fect to the body leaving a smali space betweeri each foot. Make some markings on the top of the feet to make them look webbed.
M Roli a table tennis-size bali of dough and join it to the body. Roli a smali bali of dough for the beak and join it to the head. Cut the beak in half to separate the top and bottorn. Make the eyes using the point of a cocktail stick.
5 To make the wings, roli two smali balls of dough and flatten them between your finger and thumb. Pinch one end of each flattened bali out to form a wing. Join the wings to the body. Make some feather-like markings with a knife.
Roli out some dough so that it is 13mm (/in) thick and cut an oblong shape measuring 13 x 20mm (% x J/in). Roli a thin ropę of dough and join it in the form of a cross around the present. Join the present to the body, pressing the wings close.
To make a hat, roli a large marble-size bali of dough. Pinch and roli one end of the bali. Put your finger into the opposite end of the bali making a well, pulling out the edge. Fold over the narrow end and secure it with a little water. Make a smali pompom for the end of the hat.
