TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION

The sprinkler-waggon PZ6 is built on the chassis of a STAR truck and represents a highly-efficient and modern equipment designed primarily for sprinkling and flushing streets and squares. In case of need the PZ-6 sprinkler can be used also for fire-fighting actions and for removing water from deluged premises.

Owing to its versatility the PZ6 sprinkler is an indespensable equipment in municipal cleaning enterprises.

The elliptic-section water tank is flexib!y mounted on the truck frame, secured with special boks and springs. In its front part it has a chamber with an installed water pump. The design of the sprinkler enables to fili the tank from a Street hydrant, river or pool.

To the pump the drive is taken from the R.H. power take-off, transmitted to the pump through a dry disk clutch controlled mechanically and synchronized with the clutch of the truck. Sprinklers and flushers are arranged at the front of the truck so that adjustment of their position is con-venient.

The following sprinkler-waggon operations are controlled from the driver’s cab:

—    change-over from flushing to sprinkling and vice versa, and cutting-off the water flow to sprinklers and flushers,

—    adjustment of sprinkling width,

—    lifting and lowering the broom and controlling its drive.

Arrangement of control levers within easy

to control without any difficulty the rangę

of the water jets or cut off either totally

or on one side of the truck only.

Delivery and suction hoses, hydrant stand,

wrenches for opening hydrant chambers

etc. are transported in a case installed

below the water tank between its

brackets.

The design of the PZ6 sprinkler truck allows for the possibility to exchange wholly the sprinkler body for that of the PS6 sanding truck (manufactured by "WUKO"). Apart of this during the winter season it is possible to install an efficient snów plough at the front of the truck.

TECHNISCHE BESCHREIBUNG

Das Fahrzeug PZ-6 ist auf dem Fahrgestell des Lastkraftwagens Star gebaut und stellt ein hochleistungsfahiges und neuzeitliches Mittel zum Bespruhen und Waschen der Fahrdamme, Strassen und Platzen. Im Bedarfsfalle kann das Fahrzeug PZ6 auch zum Lóschen von Branden ais Lóschfahr-zeug sowie zum Auspumpen des Wassers aus iiberfluteten Objekten dienen.

Dank mannigfaltiger Verwendungsmóglich-keit, ist das Fahrzeug PZ-6 unumganglich fur kommunale Reinigungsbetriebe.

Der Wasserbehalter mit elliptischen Quer-schitt ist elastisch auf dem Rahmen des Fahrzeugs mittels spezieller Schrauben und Federn befestigt. In seinem Vorderteil besitzt es eine Kammer, in der die Wasser-pumpe untergebracht ist. Die Bauart des Fahrzeugs ermóglicht das Auffullen des Behalters vom Strassenhydrant, einem Fluss oder See.

Die Pumpe wird vom rechten Leistungs-vorgelege iiber eine Einscheiben-Trocken-kupplung angetrieben, die mechanisch gesteuert und mit der Fahrzeugkupplung synchronisiert ist. Die Spreng- und Wasch-vorrichtungen sind im vorderen Teil des Fahrzeugs, in einer Weise, die eine Regelung ihrer Lagę ermóglicht, angeordnet.

Vom Fahrerhaus werden folgende Opera-tionen des Fahrzeugs gesteuert:

—    Umschaltung vom Waschen zum Bespruhen und umgekehrt sowie die Abschaltung des Wasserzuflusses zu den Wasch- und Sprlihgeratcn

—    Regelung der Breite der Bespriihung

—    Heben und Senken der Biirste sowie Steuerung ihres Antriebs

Ein angemessene Anordnung der Steuer-hcbel gibt dem Operator und dem Fahrer die Móglichkeit einer leichten Steuerung des Wasserstrahlbereichs oder einer Aus-schaltung der Bespriihung von der linken oder rechten Seite des Fahrzeugs.

Die Druck- und Saugschlauche, der Hyd-rantstander, Schliissel zum Óffnen der Hydrantbrunnen usw. sind im Kasten untergebracht, der sich unter dem Wasserbehalter, zwischen seinen Stiitzen befindet.

Das Fahrzeug PZ-6 wurde so konstruiert, dass eine Móglichkeit des vólligen Aus-wechselns des Aufbaus des gegen den Auf-bau des Sandstreuwagen PS6 der „WUKO”-Produktion, gegeben ist. Aus-serdem kann man wahrend der Winter-zeit am vorderen Teil des Fahrzeugs einen leistungsfahigen Schneepflug aufmonrie-ren.
