1. What might be the reasons why some people are striving to make human cloning possible? Is their wish an expression of utter selfishness or perhaps of human struggle for perfection? Why?

2. A person's clone is identical to him or her in appearance but not in personality or character. To what extent do you agree with this statement? Justify your opinion.

1. How can plastic surgery affect the way people perceive themselves? Does it depend on how radical the (facial) change is or perhaps on which part of the body is improved?

2. To what extent does our face reflect our personality and character? How can a face transplant affect our sense of identity? Is it possible to say that we actually become another Derson?

In recent decades there have appeared a number of controversial ethical problems concerning human life: in vitro fertilization, abortion, genetic engineering, cloning, or euthanasia (mercy killing). They all refer to the question of choice that people should or should not have about their own or somebody else's life. Select one problem and give arguments for and against.
