•Notę: Inlichtingen (information) is always plural in Dutch.

(1)    Heen means the same as naarloe. Waar gaat u heen?/Waar gaal u naarloe?: Where are you going? Ik ga er ook heen: l'm also going there.

(2)    Dont confuse helemaal niet (not at all) with niet helemaal (not entirely). Hij is helemaal niet klaar: He's not at all ready. Ze is nog niet helemaal klaar: She's not yet completely ready.

(3)    Het verkeer: the traffic. Het licht: the light. Het verkeer is erg druk: The traffic is very heavy.

(4)    Oversleken (a compound verb): cross over. The preposition is separated from the root in the simple present or past tenses.

(5)    lmperative of zijn. Wees vriendelijk met iedereen: Be friendly to everyone. The form is the same for singular and plural.

(6)    When a compound verb comes at the end of a clause the preposition is not separated from the root. We zullen hier de straat oversteken: We il cross the Street here. Ze komt morgen terug: She’s Corning back tomorrow. Ik weet niet of ze morgen terugkomt: I don't know if she's Corning back tomorrow.
